PLUS! New Clients: A Love Story in Tuscany and Organic Mood-Changers. A Never-Before-Told Capote Story and More!

My ancestors were NYC “puffers.” Beginning in the 1900’s, my people uprooted from Europe and migrated to hard-scrabble NYC, where they persisted through two World Wars; traded their Yiddish for English, all while making their fortune in America by manufacturing stylish snowsuits for children. Snowsuits were a new luxury thing and for many years it did actually snow a lot during the winter in the Northeast, even in April! Making snow angels while looking adorable became a thing and my ancestors thrived by serving their times.

Full-on, Eskimo snowsuits seem ridiculous now, even for kids. Today climate change, Balenciaga and new definitions of puffers have changed everything.

Clearly what served us brilliantly yesterday won’t serve us today. Nor was it designed to serve us tomorrow.
Time to pack away the puffers.
Bye Winter, Hello Spring.

While I have imagined, designed and created for mass and niche pop-culture and luxury lifestyle clients for over 30+ years, from nature-inspired body jewelry on major couture runways to award-winning landscape art spanning thousands of wild acres in Brazil, and my agency is known for touchpoints of meaning that connect and energize all our lives…however, like my relatives, I ask myself, what are the most useful, essential services and product for the current times we’re in?

The answer I hear lately is “less is more.”
We all have more on our plates than ever before. As a remedy, we’ve added new MICRO services that create impactful MACRO results to guide our agency’s latest creative offerings.

Our new services packages fit your desires and schedules ~ they are either efficient powerful boosts based on MICRO incremental hourly consults or MACRO major deep dive, day-long intensives.

Testimonials From Two “Puffed Up” Clients

MICRO

From one meeting, in one paragraph, you captured my essence in words better than people who know me for 20 years!  Thank you!Liz Eubank, interior Designer

MACRO

We worked with Jade to create a private invitation for our prospective retreat club members. Jade and her team were a delight to work with. They took the time to set a clear strategy, asked thought-provoking questions to understand our brand and our ideal clients, and created a stunning invitation and presentation deck for us in both digital and print editions. The copy and imagery used was sensory, luxurious, and inviting. The level of detail and attention was high and we were overjoyed with the final outcome. We would highly recommend Jade for your future branding projects.Natalia Edelmann, Owner, LUXE Club Retreats

More Muses (in Film + Television)

Congrats to our friend and client, Kim Jackson of Evotion Media, board member with New York Women in Film + Television (NYWIFT) !

This year Everything Was Sparkling about the NYWIFT 2024 Muse awards at Cipriani.

The line to enter went around the block!

I was so honored to sit at the @Evotionmedia media table invited by Kim and Zach Lebeau. Our client, @mymoodbars donated a month’s supply of nutritional bars for the raffle…a perfect NOURISH, AWAKEN and SOOTHE gift…for our industry! Seeing old friends, meeting new friends…there must have been 1000 people in attendance!

I’m so happy to be a NYWIFT member and plan to do more with this powerful group.
The lineup of award winners and presenters was so inspiring!

From Front Line PBS editor-in-chief and executive producer Raney Aronson-Rat; award-winning actress and producer Alex Borstein, actress and trade union leader, national president of the SAGAFTRA Fran Drescher; to award-winning actress and filmmaker, Kyra Sedgwick.

We were happy to see filmmaker Michèle Stephenson receive an award for directing. PR-partnered with Katrina Boswell, we cheered her Albies award in September with Maysles Documentary Center for her film, Going to Mars: The Nikki GIovanni Project.

Incredible industry trailblazers!

In the mood…

Welcome To Our New Client, MOOD BARS

THE HEALTH CHALLENGE.
“As a vegan and diabetic woman, I discovered it was impossible to find a nutritional bar for both myself and my patients, family and friends that wasn’t packed with salt and excessive calories” relates reproductive and perinatal psychiatrist, Dr. Carly Snyder, co-Founder of MOOD BARS. “I searched high and low in vain for bars formulated specifically for women that were made of high-quality whole foods and nutritionally-dense ingredients that did more than just ‘filled you up’ or ‘tasted ok’.”

Dr.Carly took her frustration one step beyond. Fueled by the idea that ‘you are what you eat’, what if an all-natural, nutritionally-dense bar could actually help shift a mood, from famished to NOURISH; from low energy to AWAKEN and from irritable to SOOTHE?

THE TASTY SOLUTION.
Inspired by her female patients, and armed with decades of experience and a detailed understanding of physiological changes and resulting mood fluctuations, plus the support of a team of highly knowledgeable specialists; Dr. Carly realized she could fill a hole in the nutritional market, and MOOD BARS was born.

 The Maysle’s Eye on Iris

Our client Maysles Documentary Center was in the news these past months from our inclusion in a Black History Month must-attend events in AMNY, to folks and media like Town & Country buzzing about the rumor of the Maysles brothers filming Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball as portrayed in the new FX series, to the passing of one of the Maysles’ subjects, the legendary Iris Apfel.

In tribute to Iris, Maysles shared:
“We at Maysles Documentary Center would like to pay tribute to rare bird and geriatric starlet Iris Apfel, who died this week at the ripe age of 102 and a half. She was the subject of one of Albert Maysles’ final films, IRIS, which screened at MDC in May 2015 to sold out audiences. Opening night was moderated by Harlem’s own Michael Henry Adams, with Iris herself in attendance, and a line of fashionable Harlemites down the block… Iris was a cherished supporter of MDC, an Albie Awards attendee, and a born and raised New Yorker, who will continue to be an inspiration to us all.”

Oh! Oprah Daily, Coppola and Capote!

One of our favorite clients is Freck Vreeland, the 96-year old former Sr. US Diplomat, CIA agent, and son of the iconic Diana Vreeland, for whom we do branding, PR and social media.

Recent press on Freck and his adventures has ranged from the Sophie Coppola profile in The New Yorker to The Swans TV series on Truman Capote…even to Oprah Daily, where  we secured a feature for him titled “90 Might Be The New 40!”

Here’s a juicy sample story from his fascinating Instagram feed, which we steer and create:

Freck: It would seem that I have a story from my memoir for every occasion and people’s renewed interest in Truman Capote and his swans is no different.

When my wife Betty and I decided that we needed a weekend house in New York the person who offered to show me country homes on Long Island was none other than Truman Capote. He lived near Sagaponack, a small town about a two-hour drive from Manhattan. Now one of the most sought after areas in America, back then it was just potato fields populated mainly by Polish immigrants. Truman and I zipped around in his green convertible Jaguar in quest of “For Sale” signs. Finally, one “For Sale” sign led us to a simple but wonderful farmhouse. It was on Sag Main Street, two houses down from the tiny local post office and gas station. Betty and I bought the property and became part of the weekly migration of professionals who put aside their weekday jobs in New York to commute to their country homes for the weekend. I befriended Truman over the years. When Betty became seriously ill it was Truman who helped me publish her poetry in time for me to present it to her.

Speaking of The New Yorker.  My black and white Puffer sketch was illuminated with color by a new collaborator, our graphic/tech guru, Barbara Davis, also known as “BPix.”

I think it’s ready for The New Yorker, yes?

More PR hits … Broadway Show Tunes = Trainer Tips

Vinny! When a new thin but very fit and muscular trainer belted out show tunes in my gym’s power pump classes, even I was singing along!

My MACRO Illustrative Goals

Yep, yep! I do LOVE making my sketches and collages and I made a whole lotta art for January birthdays, including the making of a Prince collage portrait.

I worked off a famed early poster for a concert in Frankfurt as it seemed most magical with that mesmerizing direct gaze of his. I updated his Highness with floral flounces, mushrooms on that tiny twerking torso and sparkle pine cones for both his pineal and Princely private areas.
